Engagement rings
A fellow blogger Love & Stuff wrote about her love for weddings and as much as I was in a bad mood today - the thought of weddings cheered me up.
I have subsequently spent the next hour playing online looking at ring designs, wedding dresses, bridesmaids dresses - anything wedding related - I gobble it up!
My friend AC and I even have our own Event Planning company - recently established. Weddings are my Passion, ever since I was a little girl. To this day I have random wedding dreams.
A few years ago I dreamt that I was at a strange fairytale hotel and all 7 storues had different weddings going on. To this day I still remember all the decor and colour schemes. I am itching to plan some of these weddings. I have so many ideas and themes and because I am hoping to get married only once in my lifetime, I will have to plan them for someone else.
Themes include:
Winter Wonderland - fairy lights, crystals, frosted glasses, royal blue and silver
Morrocan: Rich golds, and ruby reds, emerald green with lanterns and chiffon everywhere
Hollywood Vintage wedding: Think of the glam times of the Marilyn Monroe, Greta Garbo, Elizabeth Taylor era. Long gloves, red lips and perfectly coiffed hair.
Springtime Delights: A hot air balloon, picnics on the lawn and lovely springtime decor. Soft pinks, greens blues and yellows with polka dots and Sun hats.
I once even videographed a wedding - that was a blast!
Above is the ring I would like one day - with 1 small change - the band will curl to the top and bottom of the diamond respectively - like so:
But look at how cute this ring is - pink diamonds are so expensive - so if I meet a millionaire, this is the ring I would like in a Platinum setting - isn't she just so pretty?!

Bitch session
I am in a bad mood.
What afuck up bad day today.
I have been feeling fairly positive this past week - as difficult a week as it has been, I am upbeat about my upcoming promotion and know that I wont have to do what I am doing right now for too much longer - the thrill of the challange is exciting me.
Tomorrow is a 2 day course at our offices and I have olanned everything down to the last detail only to find that our technical department have let me down in a big way.
Last minute scramblings and phone calls and the last touches will be completed tomorrow at 7am, and we should be back on track.
Then QT tells me he is having to work another late night.
I am getting sick of the late nights and working weekends, and I am very frustrated. We need a holiday together, but can never go because they always have to be available for work - it is absolute bull.
AC tells me that she took years getting used to her husband having to work these hours, but she has accepted it now. She still gets to see her hubby every night and sleep with her arms wrapped around him.
So needless to say - I am ratty, crabby and in a bitching session - you might even find that it is my lower lip obstructing your view....

Reality Show - is me
Today I was kept very busy at work, but the radio kept playing songs that seemed like they were giving me hints.
"I wanna be a millionaire - so freakin bad"
"All I need is 1 wish"
My colleague and I are going to buy a Powerball ticket on Friday, but we are going big. We are each spending R50 and buying 1 ticket and we will split the winnings. I never buy Lotto tickets - but what the hell... go Big or go home!
I figure that the other way to get rich is to become a Reality TV show personality. Man I could have a blast with this!
I would rope Tee and AC into this and we would amaze audiences with our antics.
I would attempt to colour their hair, we could go shopping, we could do all sorts of crap - just like they do on TV
Take the Kardashians - to me they waste their time looking in the mirror and whining about things.
Yes they are all stunning, but besides Kim, the rest of them are chunky, spoilt brats. (I do think they are all gorgeous though)

New Photo Challenge starting 1 August
Right my fellow Bloggers - as promised - I have put together a new Photo Challenge.
Many ideas chased themselves around my head, but I enjoyed learning more about you through your photos and this is just more ways to learn about our fellow "bloggers"
The challenge will be called: "This is Me"
It will encompass characteristics about yourself as well as everyday things.
I look forward to revealing the Challenge on 1 August and hope you all have as much fun adding your photos as I have had making it up!

Retailing for about R4500.00 it is a bit beyond my budget, but still wishful thinking....
