Keeping it Inside

I have been sitting on a big secret for a couple of weeks.
This was to be a life-changing event for me.
I have been researching quarantine laws to move my cat and myself to another country.
I have been happily planning my future.
Not even my best friend knows.

In a single moment- with 1 sentence- all these dreams and plans have been shattered.

I am so angry.
I want to lash out.
I want to be bitchy.
I want to let the secrets out.
Instead I will say nothing.

Travel Tuesday: Mauritius Part 2

Besides lying on the beach and eating and drinking all day - Mauritius does offer alot of activities to keep a person active - should they so wish.

We went out on the paddleboats that move while you cycle. The lovely thing about this is that you get to dip your hand in the water as you pedal by watching the coral and fishes through the crystal clear water.
When you get back to shore, a lovely Vanilla rum is waiting to quench your thirst.

Happiness is: Rum on the beach with your friends
You can hire mountain bikes and take a ride into the markets about 30 minutes away. I don't suggest doing this the day after you have been badly sunburned - at midday.
I almost passed out on the bicycle and had to go back.
Logan - a police officer followed me on his bike and then proceeded to tell me that I am lovely and am I married. He asked for my address so that he could write to me. At least somebody tried to hit on me while on holiday!

Cheers

I accessorised my sunburn, top and wine perfectly!
La Dolce Vita was the Italian restaurant at the hotel and was booked in advance every night. The chef had lived in Italy for 20 years to study cooking and I tell you  - he was a master!
He came out and spoke to us and I told him about my favourite restaurant back home run by 2 Italian ladies.
He offered to make us any dish if it was not on the menu.

We dined at La Dolce Vita twice (we booked the first time and were very kindly squeezed in a second time)
Tee had snapper fish the 1 night and a pasta with smoked marlin. The marlin tasted like bacon, it was delicious!
I ate a tuna carpaccio, a divine carbonara and this gorgeous dessert:
Pancake Tagliatelle with Pistachio ice cream and berry coulis

Coral Bar at Dusk

The Moon from our balcony
One night while on our way to dinner I was awed by this beautiful sunset. I had left my camera in the safe and I only had my phone with me.
The photo came out beautifully, but I can only imagine how stunning this picture would have been, taken with my Canon.
Beautiful moon
Next week: Botanical gardens

Manicure Monday: Cute Moustache nails

With November / Movember upon us - this was the perfect nail art to try:

Mini Moustache

You need:
A base coat polish (I used a pale pink)
A dark colour for the moustache (I used very dark purple)
A top coat
A bobby pin
A tooth pick
A steady hand

Using the bobby pin make 2 big dots next to each other in the center of your nail
Using a toothpick make 2 smaller dots on the outer edges of your nail to form the ends of the moustache.
Draw a line from the big dots to the little dots
Then fill it in using the toothpick. A stippling motion works best to spread the nail polish without forming lines.
Wait to dry and then coat gently with a top coat.

This is my version:
One nail was hard enough - I didn't attempt the rest!

"This Is The End" movie redeems itself

From the Producers of Knocked Up and Super Bad comes the next installment in Guy toilet humour: This is the End.

I have a dirty sense of humour, but these movies are enough to make even me feel like a prude in some scenes.

I think the guys enough this type of movie with never-ending references to penises, cum and the likes.

When that type of thing is not happening, this movie is hilarious. James Franco and Seth Rogan are a brilliant comedic pair. Paul Rudd, Emma Watcson & Rihanna all make guest appearances.

At the end of the movie they are all in heaven and they are told that they can have anything they wish for, and Jay wishes for this: The Backstreet Boys

I got chills as they started singing!
This made the entire movie so worthwhile! Nick Carter has become super hot and my favourite Brian still looks good.
