Not for sensitive readers!!

Yes this my thumb, sans nail.
YUCK

The white stuff is anti bacterial ointment, trust me, it makes my thumb look prettier than it is.
Doc had a look today and is happy - he says I will have a full, brand new nail in 6 months.
It better not stay this freaking sore til then.
I have almost passed out everyday when I have had to clean it.
I am washing my hair with 1 hand, getting dressed with 1 hand. It is so frustrating.
It took me 10 minutes to get my watch off yesterday- so now I have stopped wearing it.

Important lesson learnt throughout this process:
Don't drink Synap Forte with any fizzy colddrink - it makes the tablet fizz up and tastes disgusting!

QT

Once again QT is proving himself to be an absolute gentleman.

He calls me yesterday after work and tells me insists on coming over and bringing me dinner.

He lay with me and tickled my back as I struggled with the pain and he even took my nail polish off my toes because the polish remover affects my fingernails.
Is that not just the ultimate man??

He bought me "Princess" by Vera Wang. I have to wait for my birthday but I am so excited! It is a purple heart with a Princess crown lid!
(QT & my work colleague GF call me Princess - I have tons of little keyrings that say Princess as well as a fun crown and I even wore a little tiara last year at my 30th)

QT just makes me so happy - I cannot explain how amazing it is to have someone who cares about me and is always there when I need him without even having to ask.

We get along so well - and I find it so easy to be with him.
I miss hime when I am not with him and I revel in the times when I am with him.
I have become one of those couples that can't keep their hands to themselves - I constantly want to be in his arms surrounded by his smell!

I am crazy about him - more than I ever thought imaginable.

Eina!

I stopped being stubborn & had my thumb nail removed.

I like the way nobody tells me how freaking sore it is!! They all told me to do it, but only after the removal do they tell me their painful stories!!

8 painful injections later - oh my word!

45 minutes after we stopped the copious amounts of blood - feeling had already started returning.

I am now permanently high on painkillers (they should be called Sleep inducers) they dont actually kill the pain, they make it so hard for you to stay awake and you are so busy concentrating on not drooling or hitting your head on the desk that you almost (almost!!) forget that blinding pain in your thumb that has a heartbeat of it's own.

I go for a check up on Thursday.
