Marvel's The Avengers

Tee & I went to the watch The Avengers last night and I cannot even adequately describe how much I enjoyed this movie!
Throughout the movie I kept finding myself with a huge grin on my face and thinking how much I was loving it.

This movie really gets the adrenaline going. The humour was so well executed that we were laughing out loud in some parts… & often clapping too!

I don’t know the storyline about The Black Widow or Hawk and I didn’t watch Hulk (although if I had known sooner than Mark Ruffalo was the hulk I would’ve watched it as I think he is an awesome actor.) but having watched Iron Man, Thor & Captain America, I knew we were in for a treat when they were all together in The Avengers - and I was not disappointed at all.

As so often happens when you have a movie with so many strong characters (or actors, think Valentine's Day for example), you tend to have to squeeze so much in that you lose a sense of each character's main purpose & you end up feeling that you were missing that little extra punch.
Excellent direction helped each character to maintain their identity & still complement each others' abilities & make for an excellent movie.

Everytime I thought I had my favourite character, then someone else went and did something kick-ass and I just couldn’t decide!
I love how the characters fight each other in the beginning, trying to show each other who is boss. It’s the action-movie-goers ultimate wet-dream, watch all your characters fight it out and see who truimphs.
Thor & Captain America looked deliciously buff and I kept finding myself wondering who would win in an arm-wrestle.
After trawling Google images for topless pics of these 2 actors (yes, it was hard work, but all in the name of good blogging) I cannot decide.
Obviously with Thor being a demi-god, he is an imposing character, but I think with clever costumes and camera angles they made him appear a lot bigger. From the looks of them, they seem to be pretty well matched.
Let us for a moment enjoy the male-godness of these 2....

You can wrap those arms around me anyday...

Man... I'm BUFF!

Hard to choose... yes I told you it would be! Who would your money be on?

Moving slightly off-track...

Here is a cute picture of Chris Evans before he bulked up and looked all "good-boy-soldier" for Captain America:
I love the messy dark hair on him.

The Aussie brothers Liam and Chris Hemsworth are both cute, looking at this pic though, I must say that Chris is the more sexy, rugged of the 2.

So in summary - I highly recommend that you watch The Avengers and come back and tell me you did not enjoy this movie immensely.

What they now need to do is come out with a box-set of all the movies together. I would make the box an awesome-looking metal case with the markings of Thor's axe and the high-techness (yes I just made a new word) that is Tony Stark with some Stars from Captain America's costume.

Drama-Free Please

I like to lead an uncomplicated life.
I have too much drama at work, and I really don't have the time or the energy to deal with drama in my real life too. (I like to think of work as a bad dream, something I might 1 day wake up from)

You might remember me speaking about my Housemate / ex boyfriend's girlfriend.
The day her and I moved out of the place we shared, we literally walked past each other without saying a word.
She had left me in the lurch and at the last minute told me she was moving out, forcing me to find another place to stay in a hurry.
I don't think people ever understood why/how her & I ever decided to move in together, but what they never realised is that only she understood how I felt about BD and how he was. He was a very complicated man.

Anyway, it has been 2 years and I saw her in a shopping mall. I was devastated that she had seen me, because I really feel like a gross lump of... Fat.

She stopped to talk to me and caught me up on some gossip. I really wish I had looked better, because she still looked exactly the same and I can imagine her going back to her friends and telling them how terrible I am looking.

A few hours later I saw my ex Alex in the shopping centre and again my 1st thought was: "Run, maybe he won't recognise you! Actually, he probably wouldn't have anyway

Then today my ex Cutie writes to me and I find myself wondering
Why is this all happening?

Is the universe trying to tell me something?

I made myself a promise this weekend to tie up all loose ends and get rid of all this drama currently in my life. Not as easy as I had first thought.

I am still trying to process the whole Iron Man thing.
AK, he is an amazing man. You can't blame me for developing feelings for him.
What did he feel for me?
If anything? I can't say - because I don't know.

I will never know what went on in his head.
He and I never had the "Let's talk" conversation. I hate loose ends. But sometimes you just need to let it go & move on.
I learn long ago that I will never know why men do what they do.
It is what it is
Accept it
Move on

Walking Away - With Dignity

I am going out on a limb here and saying that my woman's intuition is slapping me across the back of the head, telling me to see the signs & move on.
I think I am officially being ignored. Its been over a week since I last heard from Iron Man.

A week is a long time - so I am going to do what every self-respecting woman does.... and walk away.

I always tell my friends to maintain their dignity and I am going to follow my own advice.

I cannot waste my time on a person who does not want me the same way I want them.
I must admit, I am sad about it, but let's face it, just because I developed a soft spot for him, doesn't mean it wasn't just sex for him - and that's how it was supposed to be.

I don't have any regrets & it is something I will always look back on & smile. (and besides, thanks to my gynae trip today - I will not be doing anything for a while now!)

I am R1000 poorer & in less pain, but at least in 2 or 3 days I will be able to walk like a normal person again and not be in constant agony thanks to Mr Bartholin! (Think this is karma's way of paying me back)

Steamy Dreams & My Reality

Last night I had one of those Hot & Steamy dreams....

Sometimes I wish I didn't have to wake up.

We all know I am not shy about sex - I am after all a woman with the sex-crazed mind of a man - and lately with all the work stress I have not really had much opportunity. (Not as much as I would like anyway!)

21 March is a public holiday here - looks like it is a lucky day for me, I am seeing "Iron Man" again!

Woo Hoo, just what my hormones ordered!

De-Fuzzing & other girly horrors

These past few months with me having no man in my life or even on the distant horizon, I have been pretty lax about waxing and plucking etc.

What is the point of going through the pain and the expense of a wax and there is nobody to appreciate it?

The other day I decided to do something about it, because I am really not a fan of lots of hair (except on my head where it should be)
So I go to a new salon and book the appointment.

Have I been out of it that long?

Wherever I have been it's always referred to as  Full Brazillian - removal of ALL hair (also known as the Hollywood) or a normal Brazillian which leaves a small patch of hair (landing strip)

So in I innocently walk and ask for a "brazillian" (Heaven knows why I felt like subjecting myself to this god-awful pain)

I lie down and start chattering away to the lady (I feel very uncomfortable doing this and tend to talk to mask my nerves)

I was not concentrating at all until I felt half my hair disappear with one savage tug.  It was then I realised that she was Removing. It. All.

Turns out that it was a good thing I did it.

That night I got lucky with Iron Man.

On my last night at Sun City, Iron Man asked me to stay the night with him instead of going home.

I was so tempted to as it would have been wonderful to wake up in his arms and there is nothing quite as nice as action first thing in the morning when you are still warm from sleeping.

As luck would have it, my period started and even though he was really understanding and asked me to stay with him anyway and cuddle, I left.

Besides, how on earth would I explain this to my work colleagues?

Sometime it really sucks to be a woman!

Finally some action!

It has been a very long dry spell for me in the action department.

I am pleased to announce that it has been broken. (WOO HOO!!)

Iron Man and I have known each other for about a year.

He has always had an interest in me, and I only know this because he made a comment that he thinks I have a hot body and better cleavage.

He is 28, so we have very similar interests.

Anyway, long story short. This time I gave in to his flirting and spent the night with him.

Holy crap - he is amazing in bed! Super attentive and I like a man who takes control.

I spent a few nights with him for some fun and I suppose the fact that nobody else knows, makes it more delicious.

I have been going to the gym and those nights I worked muscles that the gym does not even touch!

Some of the reasons I loved being with him:

  • He plays footsie footsie with me at dinner
  • He sends me sexy, flirty and sweet messages
  • He BBMs me to tell me I am Hot, even though he is sitting right across from me
  • He bought 10 Tequila shots so that he could get me a cute cowboy hat because he thought I would like it (I loved it)
  • He kept me warm at a show while it was freezing cold.
  • He loves my butt
  • He sends me a kiss on BBM every morning.
  • He asked me so sweetly to cuddle up to him and stay the night with him
  • He put a funny half naked photo of himself as my screensaver on my phone when I wasn't looking
  • We play a fun game every day where we have t guess what colour underwear the other is wearing - if we get it wrong, we send a pic in our underwear, If we get it right, we get a pic with no underwear on.
To date, we have yet to be right! But I have a blast receiving all his photos and taking sexy pics for him too.
  • We have a code-name for sex.  This way we can throw it into casual conversation and no-one will have any idea what we are talking about.
  • One of my sweetest memories: He told me I am Lovely while kissing his way down my body. For some reason that simple little comment really touched me.
  • 2nd favourite memory: 1 night we were out at a "club" and he leaned over and gave me a gentle kiss on my shoulder.
My pulse starts racing even now when I think of that tender, sexy gesture.
At the end of the day though, it wasn't just about sex.
I seem to have developed a soft spot for him.
I enjoy being with him, he makes me feel really sexy & I love being folded in his arms when he hugs me. I love that I have seen the softer side of him and I really wish that I had been able to spend a whole night in his arms.

And I really miss him.

He makes me feel like a woman, and I am really glad that he was the one who broke the dry spell, it was worth the wait.....
He has now gone back home... I only get to see him in November again. It's gonna be a long few months!

Pity about the 1 little ... complication
