Day 08 → Someone who made your life hell, or treated you like shit.

HvE

That woman was a living nightmare

When I started my PA position she trained me, and critisized me... every single day.
I hated her and hated my job.
Then when I started settling in, she was jealous that people liked me, and set out to point out every little thing she did not feel that I was doing correctly (in her eyes)

When I changed positions I was told by my boss and a few others that I was the best PA he ever had.... and HvE is no longer with the company due to too many mistakes.
Need I say more?

Day 07 → Someone who has made your life worth living for

My Parents

They are the reason I am here.

Without my parents support and love - I have no idea where I would be or what kind of person I would be.

My parents gave up a lot for us when we were growing up. I remember times when we were so poor that we had a generator for electricity and an outhouse toilet.

My dad worked tirelessly and when we were older my mom also started working again.

They are everything to me, and I live to make them proud of me.

Day 06 → Something you hope you never have to do.

Have to bury my parents or my cats

Unfortunately both these things are inevitable - and they are my greatest fears.

I never want to get the phonecall saying that something horrible happened to my parents - living in South Africa, we are faced with a slightly more dangerous way of life. Murder, hijacking etc are all common occurances, and with my parents living on a smallholding with no alarm system or extra security (besides dogs) it is a constant worry for me.

On a less morbid note:

I would hate to have to choose between my boyfriend and my best friend. Luckily in my current situation I dont have that problem.

I would hope to never find a friend's partner cheating and be the one to break the news to my friend.

Day 05 → Something you hope to do in your life.

I really want to visit Thailand.

I am not the traveller that likes to live in a city and experience it as a local. I prefer the experience of a traveller.
Do the tourist thing, stay in a nice, clean room that doesn't cost too much. Take as many tours as I can to see and learn things and go on to my next adventure.

The other really important thing I would like to do:

Pay for my parents to go a well deserved holiday.

Nowhere overseas, that is not their thing.
Perhaps a week at the sea or some time in the mountains or something they have never done: A game lodge -  relaxing and being spoilt and seeing the wild animals in their natural habitat. I get my absolute love of all animals from my parents and I would love for them to have this experience

My parents have had a life full of tough times and bad luck and yet they will do anything for their children to make us happy & would do anything to return the favour and give them something they deserve.

Day 04 → Something you have to forgive someone for

Totally forgiven:
Alex for breaking my heart totally & completely.
My ex boss lying and giving me a bad reference so that he wouldn't lose me

Not so sure:
My brother & what he has put my parents through - lying, destroying things, and treating them with utter disrespect until he needs something and for always playing the victim

Forgiven, but not forgotten:
When my mom was going through a drastic change in her hormone medication she said some horrible things to my dad that made him cry. The only time I have ever seen him cry & something that still hurts to this day, een though I know it was not her fault.

Day 03 → Something you have to forgive yourself for.

There is 1 situation that I wish I could go back and change....

After my grandfather passed away, my gran had a stroke and eventually had to be admitted to a home.

After a while my gran didn't talk much when we visited her, & I stopped going to visit regularly.

A month before her death I was visiting when my Gran had an epileptic attack (brought on by her age - 89)
It was scary and I put off going to visit her and then a month later - she passed away.

I still feel so guilty about not seeing her just before she died and I wonder if she ever thought that I had deserted her.

I need to forgive myself for this - I am not sure I have yet

I can't understand why the text is highlighted - it wont go away!!!

Day 2 - Something you love about yourself

I love that I love animals - I feel that not enough people value animals the way they should be valued.

I love that I have long eyelashes.

Day 1 - Something you hate about yourself

Quite a few things actually....

Physically - I hate my double chin and the rest of the flab I have allowed to wobble pile up
                  I hate that I don't get a tan, instead I cultivate a freckle farm
I hate that I am always sick - I can't get my energy levels up to what they were

Mentally - I hate that I am so impatient
I hate that I am not able to psyche myself up to exercise
I hate that I am so intolerant of things - I get very moody
I hate that I worry about money all the time
