Day 04 → Something you have to forgive someone for

Totally forgiven:
Alex for breaking my heart totally & completely.
My ex boss lying and giving me a bad reference so that he wouldn't lose me

Not so sure:
My brother & what he has put my parents through - lying, destroying things, and treating them with utter disrespect until he needs something and for always playing the victim

Forgiven, but not forgotten:
When my mom was going through a drastic change in her hormone medication she said some horrible things to my dad that made him cry. The only time I have ever seen him cry & something that still hurts to this day, een though I know it was not her fault.

The Write Stuff - Update

Unfortunately the response was extremely bad for The Write Stuff challenge.

I would however still like to go ahead with this as I love the idea of receiving a handwritten letter myself.

You will be hearing from me in your inboxes....

Alive....

The picture above personifies calmness, serenity & stillness.....

Everything my life is not.

In the last couple of days I have....

... finally moved to my own desk
... had to convince my boss that his new PA will work out just fine, even after her blunder
... loved not being a PA anymore
... still not found out what my new package entails, except to be told how much work I will be doing
... had to nurse a sick kitty
... had to do lots of cleaning due to the dry dust before the rains came
... washed all my dark clothes together with a piece of tissue/paper just big enough to spread onto every single item of clothing
... started walking to get fit and lose these pesky rolls
... successfully germinated 2 bonsai seeds which are now happily sprouting
... watched my 2 orchid plants grow more flowers
... obsessed over getting a white orchid with pink centre
... finally have a complete thumbnail with no more quirky bends and kinks
... started baking again - scones, cupcakes and delicious, to-die-for yoghurt tart
... felt helpless that I can't help my friends who are having a hard time
... finally dyed the grey out of my hair
... sorted my back out thanks to the chiropractor
... been lying awake stressing about work
... having bad dreams about white horses chasing me when I do sleep
... being eaten alive by mosquitos that are as big as small birds
... run out of mosquito repellant mats
... felt pissed off at the people who are so ungrateful in life
... felt heartbroken to hear of the animal abuse happening in SA (rhino poaching, burnt rhino etc)
... feel the need to want to make a difference
... watched th eentire first season of The Vampire Diaries
... Fallen in love with Damon (Ian Somerhalder)
... heard from MC
... nearly ended it with QT
... had a mini breakdown
... missed blogging & all of you out there.

Day 03 → Something you have to forgive yourself for.

There is 1 situation that I wish I could go back and change....

After my grandfather passed away, my gran had a stroke and eventually had to be admitted to a home.

After a while my gran didn't talk much when we visited her, & I stopped going to visit regularly.

A month before her death I was visiting when my Gran had an epileptic attack (brought on by her age - 89)
It was scary and I put off going to visit her and then a month later - she passed away.

I still feel so guilty about not seeing her just before she died and I wonder if she ever thought that I had deserted her.

I need to forgive myself for this - I am not sure I have yet

I can't understand why the text is highlighted - it wont go away!!!

Uniquely Me - Bobbylicious

Today I would like to introduce you to a fellow South African Blogger based in the beautiful Cape- Bobby.

Bobby has a fun blog called: Bobbylicious

Doesn't that name just make you wanna go check it out?

Well read her interview below then go!

1: Why did you start your blog?

I've always kept diaries to document fun things going on in my life. I thought a blog would be an awesome way to keep a dairy of sorts that I can share with others.

2: Are you left or right handed?

Right-handed. But I eat left handed and I wear watches on my right wrist. I'm a little backwards at times :)

3: What screensaver is on your blog?

My blog's background is full of black and white, hand-drawn stars.

4: If you could become the spokesperson for any charity - which would it be?

A charity that deals with children. Possibly one involved with Chinese children. I once watched an episode on Oprah where they went into a Chinese orphanage. It was full of little girls because in rural areas people have girls then abondon them as they are only allowed on child per family and they prefer to have boys because boys never leave home, they stay on the farm and bring money into the family.

They discovered these crying rooms in these orphanages, tiny baby girl are left to cry themselves to death. I was so angry and upset after watching this. I've always wanted to adopt one of these girls. I don't think I'll have my own children.

5: Who was your favourite - Father Christmas, or the Easter Bunny

Oh, definitely that jolly man in the bright, red suit...Too many great memories attached to him.

6: What is on your bedside table?

Right at this moment there is "Eat, Pray, Love", a pen and a notebook, my lamp and a picture of me and my boyfriend dressed as Wonder Woman and Superman. Love that picture!

7: What food are you craving right now?

Oooh, right now I could do with a delicious spinach and feta pasta. Mmmm, drooling.

8: What colour is your toothbrush?

I only ever buy pink ones.

9: What makes you angry?

People who are not as they appear to be. I don't see why it's such a bad things to show your true colours to others.

10: Which side of the bed do you sleep on?

Always the right side. It just doesn't feel right any other way.
